We live in the mountain's shadow

7R Kilimanjaro Treks & Safaris is Tanzanian-owned and operated, based in Moshi at the foot of the mountain. Guiding isn't a job to us — it's home.

Our story

We were born and raised in the Kilimanjaro region, and we've spent our lives on these trails. That local knowledge — of the weather, the altitude, the fastest way to help someone who's struggling — is something no visiting operator can match. When you climb with 7R, you climb with people who know every camp, every ridge, and every shortcut to a safe, successful summit.

Our name says it plainly: seven routes, one summit. Whichever path you choose, our promise is the same — expert guiding, honest advice, and a team that treats your safety and your porters' welfare with equal seriousness.

Why trek with 7R

What we stand for

Expert Local Guides

All guides are KINAPA-certified, born and raised in the Kilimanjaro region with thousands of combined summit days.

Safety First, Always

Pulse oximeters, wilderness first-aid certified staff, and oxygen on every trek. Your health guides every decision.

Responsible Tourism

Fair wages for porters, low-impact camping practices, and a share of every trek going back to local conservation.

Chef-Prepared Meals

Freshly cooked three-course meals on the mountain. Because great food at altitude makes the climb that much better.
